NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Saint Mary's College STUNT fell to George Fox University, 19-12, in their second game of STUNT Nationals on Friday afternoon. The Belles fall to 11-13 on the year while the Bruins improved to 11-5.
 
While neither team earned points in the first round of the game, Saint Mary's came out and took four points over the next two rounds, winning each round within two deductions. No points were awarded in the fourth round to send the teams into the quarter break with the Belles leading 4-2 early. George Fox came out and won the first round of the second quarter within two deductions before the Belles took the second round after calling routine six. The Bruins would take the third round before both teams forfeited the fourth round to give Saint Mary's a 6-5 lead at halftime.
 
After no points were scored in round one, George Fox came out strong in the third quarter. The Bruins won the next three rounds, the third being within two deductions, to take their first lead of the game, going into the final quarter with a 9-7 lead. The Bruins continued to show out in the fourth quarter, winning the first three rounds and outscoring the Belles, 10-5, to end the match after round three and take the 19-12 win.
 
Junior Erin Monnier (Indianapolis, IN) and sophomore Haley Pieroni (Littleton, CO) led the team with 18 total rounds played out of a possible 21. Freshman Regan Joyce (Urbandale, IA) followed closely with 16 rounds.

Saint Mary's is back in action tomorrow morning as they take on Maryville College at 10:40 am EST in an elimination game.
