ANDERSON, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Tennis swept their opening dual matches of the 2025-26 season defeating Indiana University East, 7-0, and taking down Anderson University, 7-0. The Belles improve to 2-0 to open the year while the Red Wolves fall to 2-6 and the Ravens fall to 1-3.

Doubles
Saint Mary's got off to a hot start early as the number one doubles pairing of senior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) and sophomore Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) took down their opponent handily, 6-1. Senior Evelyn Demblans-Dechans (Missoula, MT) and junior Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) made easy work of their opponent at the number two doubles match, 6-1. Junior Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) and sophomore Odessa Norton (Carmel, IN) were victorious at the number three match by way of walkover
Singles
The Belles stayed hot to open singles play as Kealy got things started with a dominant 6-0 6-2 victory at number one singles. Dudy followed her closely, taking down her opponent 6-0 6-2 at the number five singles match. Demblans-Dechans would secure the win for the Belles as she took down her opponent, 6-2 6-3, at the number three singles. Pischalko took home the next win for Saint Mary's at the number four match, 6-2 6-0. Gardner finished off the Red Wolves with a 6-0 6-1 win at number two. Sophomore Lanie Brant (Stevensville, MI) earned a win at the number number six slot from a walkover.

Doubles
Saint Mary's continued to dominate as they opened doubles play with back-to-back 6-1 wins from the number two and three matches as Brant and freshman Mia Graziano (Western Springs, IL) took home the win at number three while Gardner and Norton took home the number two victory. Kealy and Dudy would take home a 6-2 to win at number one doubles to close out the Ravens.
Singles
Dudy would kick things off in singles play, taking home a 6-2 6-1 win at the number three match. Graziano followed closely with a 6-1 6-2 victory at number five. Kealy and Gardner finished back-to-back with a 6-0 6-2 win for Kealy at number one and a 6-1 6-1 win for Gardner at number two. The Belles didn't slow down as Norton took home a 6-0 6-3 win at the number six match while Brant closed out the day with a 6-2 6-2 victory at number four to sweep Anderson.
