ADRIAN, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Cross Country took home a second place team finish at the Bulldog Invite out of 12 total teams. The Belles finished just behind Hope College while finishing ahead of four other MIAA teams.
 
Freshman Adelaide Lulich (Canonsburg, PA) led the Belles as the individual winner of the race with a time of 22:32. This is Lulich's second win of her young collegiate career, becoming the first runner since Megan Gray in 2007 to win multiple races in a season or career. Lulich also set a new season best time for a 6k race.
 
Saint Mary's had five other top 25 finishers in the race as senior Jordan Siminski (Crown Point, IN) took home a 15th place finish with a time of 24:06.8, being the first of four straight finishers for the Belles. Sophomore Mary Caroline George (Louisville, KY) finished right behind in 16th with a time of 24:09.5. Junior Allie Glendening (Berrien Springs, MI) and senior Savannah Paulson (Carmel, IN) followed close behind in 17th and 18th with times of 24:10.4 and 24:11.1. Senior Cecilia Conrad (Norton Shores, MI) closed out the sub-24 minute finishers with a 21st place finish with a time of 24:12.5. All five runners set a season best 6k time while George set a collegiate career best time in the 6k.
 
Freshmen Stella Behnan (Port Huron, MI), Elizabeth Salinas (Dearborn, MI), and Bridget Begley (Palos Heights, IL) all finished with sub-26 minute times to follow one another closely. Behnan led the pack with a 31st place finish and a time of 25:08.2. Salinas followed with a time of 25:38.1 and a 38th place finish. Begley rounded out the group with a 42nd place finish and a time of 25:49. All three set new season best times in the race.
 
Freshman Ella Trenerry (Granger, IN) would take a 52nd place finish after finishing with a time of 26:32.9. Sophomore Megan McClain (Chicago, IL) would follow with a time of 26:49.1 and a 57th place finish. Senior Josie DeWine (Yellow Springs, OH) took home a 61st place finish with a time of 26:56.9. It would be a new 6k season best time for all three runners.
 
Sophomore Greta Duke (Shelbyville, IL) and freshman Stella Lipinski (Lansing, MI) would finish the competitors for the Belles, taking home 67th and 79th place finishes. Duke finished with a time of 27:30.3 while Lipinski finished with a 29:05.8, this would also be a season best time for the two.
 
As a team, all 14 Belles set a new season best 6k race time on the day while George set a collegiate 6k best time.

Saint Mary's will close out the regular season on October 17 as they head to Oberlin, OH to compete in the Oberlin Interregional. The Belles then kick off postseason competition at the MIAA Championships on October 31 in Albion, MI.
