HOLLAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Basketball fell to ninth-ranked Hope College, 90-48, on Saturday. The Belles fall to 6-11 (1-7 MIAA) while the Flying Dutch improve to 14-2 (7-1 MIAA).
Hope got out to a strong start in the first quarter, getting out to an early 9-3 advantage. The Flying Dutch controlled the first ten minutes of the game after shooting an impressive 56% from the field. While Saint Mary's closed out the quarter on a 5-0 run, they trailed 22-10. Junior Annie Restovich (St. Louis, MO) knocked down two three pointers to lead the team with six points while sophomore Ella Notaro (Crystal Lake, IL) added the other four.
Both teams would shoot impressively in the second quarter, the Belles finishing 55% from the field while the Flying Dutch finished 46%. Junior Kate Restovich (St. Louis, MO) and Annie Restovich would knock down back-to-back three pointers to close out the half for Belles. But it wasn't enough as Hope took a 41-26 lead into the locker room. Notaro put up eight points in the second quarter alone to bring her total to a team high 12 while Annie Restovich would move up to nine with her late three pointer.
The third quarter belonged to Hope as they shot an incredible 67% from the field to head into the final quarter with a 68-36 lead. Notaro led with a team high 14 points while Annie Restovich joined her in double figures with 11.
While the Belles started the fourth quarter hot, it wasn't enough as Hope would close out their 90-48 victory.
Annie Restovich led the team with 17 points while going 5-9 from three point range on the afternoon. Notaro also finished in double figures with 14 points while her and senior Hannah Outlaw (Jones, MI) grabbed a team high six rebounds. Freshman Liv Fry (Fort Wayne, IN) added four assists while Outlaw snagged three steals.

Saint Mary's returns home for back-to-back games, starting on Wednesday, January 21, when they host Adrian College for a 7pm matchup. The Belles close out the short homestand on Saturday, January 24, as they host Albion College for a 1pm tipoff. The Belles will also celebrate Senior Day on Saturday against the Britons.
