COCOA BEACH, Fla. - Saint Mary's College Tennis 123, falling to Dickinson College, 4-3, and falling to Ohio Northern University, 6-1. The Belles fall to 8-5 on the year.
 
Saint Mary's vs Dickinson
Doubles
Saint Mary's got things going with a win from junior Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) and sophomore Odessa Norton (Carmel, IN) at the number three spot, 6-2. Dickinson evened the match with a win at number one before senior Evelyn Demblans-Dechans (Missoula, MT) and junior Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) earned a close 7-6 win at the number two match to claim the doubles point.
 
Singles
The Belles got out to a quick 3-0 lead after sophomore Shannon Dudy and Pischalko earned back-to-back wins. Dudy won 6-4 6-1 at number three while Pischalko took home a 6-4 6-0 win at number five. The Polar Bears would come back and take four straight matches to claim the match. Demblans-Dechans fought back from being down 5-0 in her final set to tie the match at five, but ended falling 7-6 7-5.
 
Saint Mary's vs Ohio Northern
Singles
Saint Mary's and Ohio Northern started the afternoon with singles play as the Polar Bears took five of six singles matches as  they claimed a match victory early. Demblans-Dechans took home the Belles lone singles win at number six, winning 6-2 6-3.
 
Doubles
Ohio Northern earned a quick win at the number two match before senior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) and Dudy earned a strong 7-5 win at number one. The Polar Bears then took the number three match to close out the game and hand the duo of Gardner and Norton their first loss of the season.
 
UP NEXT FOR THE BELLES
Saint Mary's will take a day of rest on Wednesday before closing out play in the Sunshine State on Thursday as they take on Wheaton College at 3pm and the University of Minnesota Morris at 6:30pm at the UTSA National Campus in Orlando, FL.
